I like the Home Depot and I was thinking of redoing this logo too. I think yours came out pretty nice. It's simple, neat, and clean and it reads as a potential future logo for this company. Very good job on this one and the FedEx one :).
I like the highlights on the oil drops. I also like the clean, smooth look of the images in the second picture.

The Etsy design is very cute,. perfect for Etsy. And Home Depot works really well, very clean.
